Local Grid

Your Google Maps rank, at every point of the map

A city has one rank for your business only on a spreadsheet. On the map it has hundreds: a searcher two streets away sees a different pack. The Local Grid asks your query from every cell of a grid around the branch and shows where you win, where a rival does, and what moved since the last scan.

01What a grid scan does

You pick a branch, a query and a grid: 3×3 up to 15×15 cells, 250 m to 50 km apart. Each cell is one Google search pinned to that coordinate, read by our own collector through residential exits, so there is no per-call vendor bill behind the price. The pack each cell saw is stored in full: your rank, the top twenty businesses, their ratings and review counts.

A cell the collector could not read is marked “no data”, left out of every share and average, and refunded. A failed request is never a rank of zero — the same rule every report in SERP Checker follows.

Heat map and numbers

Share of cells where you appear, in the top 3 and in the top 10; average rank where found; the map coloured by bucket with the branch outlined.

Who holds the map

Every business the pack showed, ranked by the share of cells where it is in the top 3 — the competitor leaderboard for that query and that area.

History per query

Every scan of the same query at the same branch lines up as a trend: found share, average rank, top-3 share, and the delta since the previous scan.

Business Profile tools

Posts drafted, approved and scheduled; review replies drafted for you; the card as a searcher sees it, with the issues found on it.

Reviews and local pack

Google reviews beside your positions, local-pack rank per keyword at the branch, and nearby competitors by category.

CSV, API and MCP

Every scan downloads as CSV and is served by the REST API; the MCP server hands the same data to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor.

02How it compares

Geo-grid trackers price by scan credit, one credit per cell. The figures below are the published entry tiers as of October 2026; ours is the Local Grid plan.

04FAQ

Where does the ranking data come from?

From Google itself: each cell is a Google search pinned to that coordinate, read by our own collector through residential exits, and the pack it returns is stored in full. Paid providers (Serper, DataForSEO) can be configured as fallbacks.

What does one cell cost?

One credit. A 5×5 scan is 25 credits, a 9×9 is 81. The Local Grid plan includes 7,500 credits a month; a cell that could not be read is refunded.

Can I track a service-area business without a storefront?

Yes. The grid is drawn around any coordinate you enter; it does not need a pin on Google Maps. Matching uses the profile's Google id first, then the website, then the name.

Does it work outside the United States?

Yes. The query is pinned by coordinate and carries the language and country of the branch, so a grid in Kyiv, Warsaw or Berlin reads the pack a local searcher gets there.

Is a failed cell counted as “not ranking”?

No. A cell the collector could not read is marked “no data”, excluded from every share and average, and refunded. Only a pack that came back without your business counts as not ranking.

Can my AI assistant read the scans?

Yes. Every scan is served by the REST API and by the MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor can list scans, read the cells and the competitor leaderboard.
